- GOD: There is one true God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is sovereign as creator and sustainer of all things.
- BIBLE: God chose to reveal Himself in the Bible which is inspired by Him, without error, and has authority over all we do.
- HUMANITY & SIN: The Bible says that all people are enemies of God, sinners in need of salvation from sin and death.
- JESUS & SALVATION: Jesus was sent to live a perfect life, die, and rise again to save humanity from sin and death. He is both fully God and fully human. Through faith in Jesus our sins are forgiven, we receive salvation, and we are made right with God.
- THE CHURCH: The church is a community the Bible calls the body of Christ. Jesus is the leader, and it exists to bring God glory as those who follow Jesus by faith submit to Him and share His message.
- FUTURE: Jesus is coming back again to rule and reign.

Whitney began over 70 years ago as a church plant in the "suburbs." Whitney has grown as Boise has sprawled. The first services were held in a garage at our present location. Since then we have built, expanded, and remodeled several times. We are a church of active faith committed to humbly serve and glorify God in all we do.
In our desire to reach people with the Gospel in the Treasure Valley, we set out to not just build one big church but to plant many churches. We praise God for the opportunities we've had to partner locally in planting Meridian First Baptist, Lake Hazel Bible, Columbia Heights Baptist, and Involve Church in Nampa. It has been a privilege for us to send many from our ranks into these church plants.
Our desire for outreach on a global scale is also a mainstream part of our following of Christ Jesus as a body of believers. We are blessed to partner with many missionaries on the field as well as the many that God has called from Whitney.
We believe one of our greatest resources is the story of how God has worked in many lives over many years. From the nursery to the grave, the story of how God has saved us and grown us needs to be passed on. We own this vision at Whitney, as many have stayed the course throughout their lifetime. Instead of hopping from one church to another, we see the blessings of generations worshiping, growing and loving one another, gathered together to humbly honor and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
